Junette has devoted her career to attending to the needs of her clients and incorporates sophisticated, state-of-the art technology to ensure that her clients and their financial needs are properly cared for.
Formerly a “rocket scientist” with a background in engineering and space satellite design, Junette found that her true passion was in personal finance. Today she uses her technical skills combined with her passion to serve others to create long-term investment and planning strategies that empower her clients to help achieve their financial goals. Junette finds it gratifying to help her clients find clarity and confidence in making educated financial and life decisions.
With 20 years of experience in wealth management and financial planning, Junette is a CERTIFIED FINANCIAL PLANNER™ (CFP®) and owner and founder of McCarthy Wealth Management. She has been selected by FSC Securities Corporation, McCarthy Wealth Management’s independent broker/dealer, to participate in their Leadership Program since 2014.
Junette is a 22 year member of the Financial Planning Association (FPA). She is a past President of the Orange County Financial Society and has served on the National Education Task Force and Advisory Board for Osaic Wealth, Inc. In 2020, Junette earned the prestigious honor of being named Osaic Wealth IMPACT Financial Professional of the Year as a result of her positive contribution to growth for the betterment of clients and the financial industry.
Junette’s educational background includes a Master of Science degree in Electrical Engineering from University of Southern California and a Bachelor of Science degree in Electrical Engineering with a minor in Mathematics from California State University, Fresno. She also completed the Personal Financial Planner program from the University of California, Irvine and holds the CFP® designation. Junette has the Series 7, 24, 53, 65, and 63 securities registrations as well as a California Insurance license #0D68839.
She and her husband, Brian, and their adult sons are active members of the Newport Beach community. She has a passion for the ocean and is active with outrigger canoe paddling, surfski and yoga.

Who is someone you admire, and why?
I most admire my mother and best friend, Susie Ando, for her undeterred positivity of uplifting others. During my early years I watched her, a Taiwanese immigrant, raise two girls without support through working three waitress jobs saving to buy her own home and create financial independence.
Flashback to when you were 10 years old. What do you want to be when you grow up?
At 10 I knew the value of a dollar and was an avid saver. I wanted to work with money, be a business woman and wear a power pantsuit! If I can uplift others and make their day brighter then it’s a good day for me.
